Enjoy a breathtaking boating experience through the vast wetlands of Port Susan Bay, where hundreds of different types of waterfowl make their home.

canoeing-280pxCanoeing can be used as recreation or instructional time. It's a fantastic place to study estuary ecosystems!

Guests have their choice of a canoe or a kayak, which can hold from one to three people each. During each sesson, a lifeguard is present to give instruction and provide life jackets. Sessions are 1 hour 15 minutes for up to 34 people (includes instruction time)

Availability of the canoes is dependent on the height of the tides. Canoeing may be part of a guest group's program or Warm Beach Camp program guests may join their group scheduled session (extra fee may apply).

For all group arrangements, a group leader must make reservations as early as possible, at least 3 weeks before the event. Group requests must have a guaranteed minimum of 5 canoes.

Cost: $15 per hour per boat
Ages: Minimum age 7 (no age minimum with adult supervision)
Seasonal Availability: May 1-September 30 when tides permit (as scheduled by Warm Beach Camp)

Reservation Policies

Warm Beach Camp & Conference Center reserves the right to qualify all prospective users. Warm Beach Camp & Conference Center provides group rentals to non-profit organizations, governmental agencies, churches, educational organizations. The Camp is not able to serve private parties such as weddings and reunions. As an integrated auxiliary ministry of the Pacific Northwest Conference of the Free Methodist Church of North America, Warm Beach Camp & Conference Center abides by the doctrines and teachings of the Free Methodist Church of North America, as contained in the Free Methodist Church, Book of Discipline (latest edition). Groups, and Programs offered by guest groups, may not be in conflict with the doctrines contained in the Book of Discipline. Rules for acceptance and participation of guests in each group are the same for everyone without regard to sex, race, color, handicap, or nation of origin.

Challenge Course Staff

Our Challenge Course meets the standards set by the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT). Our Challenge Course facilitators are highly trained with years of experience in the industry. Every facilitator meets the minimum competencies as a challenge course practitioner as set forth by the Association for Challenge Course Technology.

Lindsey has always loved playing outdoors. She started on the Challenge Course at Warm Beach Camp in 2007, and found her passion. After working locally and abroad with numerous youth and outdoor organizations, she graduated in 2012 from Trinity Lutheran College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Children, Youth & Family Studies, focusing on Outdoor Leadership. Lindsey believes in the transformative power of outdoor experiences and is excited to serve as the Youth & Outdoor Ministries Director.

Spencer has worked in the challenge course industry for nine years and keeps safety as a top priority. He is a qualified trainer, a certified in-house inspector, and Challenge Course Manager.
